Palawan is called the last frontier because many of its wilderness are not yet explored. Its forests extends up to the shore where a lot of wildlife could be seen. In fact, in recent years, many new species of wildlife have been discovered in its rich forest and marine ecosystem.

Also, there is a high rate of migration in Palawan. People from many parts of the Philippines and even in other countries settle and enjoy the bounties of the frontier regions.
